My wife and I needed to get away to refresh and relax. Brilliant Twins did the trick. We traveled in December so the nights were cool which meant that the room was cool. There was no heat but the bed-warmer was great - we rested well on the firm bed. The room was rustic, with no carpeting, but generally clean and kept up well. The Bathroom was simple and good enough! We arrived at night so we couldn’t really tell what the exterior looked like. When we woke up in the morning we were blown away by the incredible view outside our window! The hotel is situated on the side of a tall mountain, near the top! We looked out over the valley at a lake and a mountain range and we’re reminded of God’s majesty and power. It was so beautiful!!! And, the side of the mountain we were on faces west, so we got to see a beautiful sunset as well!!! Breakfast was simple but good, and there was plenty of it! The staff was very helpful and nice and met our needs!

We arrived to the b&b quite late and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great hospitality. The room itself unfortunately was not very welcoming. The furniture and the wooden parts of the room are all old and worn out. The shower and toilet are in very old And bad condition and it’s just unpleasant to take a shower. Break is ok, view is beautiful. Still would not recommend to stay there.

Great view from the breakfast area. Staffs were friendly. I booked two rooms for one night and will stay here again if we’re ever back to Nantou.

Great location with beautiful views, but the views from Cingjing farm are better. Quirky place with its bright yellow castle design. Huge comfortable rooms if you pay the little bit extra to ensure you stay in the castle and not in the old white Mijas building. Hotels.com doesn't tell you which room is located in the castle so I had to use another hotel site just to get that info, and then continued to book on Hotels.com. Staff really speak little English so we managed with the help of google translate. It was a great one night stay. We were able to get up early, head to cingjing to catche both the sheep show and the horse show, and then drive back to Taipei in the afternoon to catch our flight home. No aircon in the room, but not needed in the mountains. Temperature at the beginning of august was only 21-23 degrees. Room indicated a ceiling fan, but there was none. Only a floor fan which was fine for us.

We booked a two bed room in the yellow castle. When we checked in, the front desk person was minimally helpful and borderline rude. The room's furniture was worn out, frayed, and just barely functional. There was mold on the caulk and grout in the bathroom and hair on the ground. Not a great environment for small kids. The bed heaters were nice though. The breakfast buffet was decent as well. Overall, I would say it was overpriced for the overall condition of the room.

Hotel staff upgraded us to a 6 bed villa from a 4 bed + 1 sofa bed (for 5 pax) we originally booked just because they thought it would be much more comfortable for us. Awesome service! :)

No good as we are given a very old building with spider webs

We had a free upgrade so the room was pretty big and comfortable. Bed was tad hard but the great mountain view made up for it. Only complain was the amount of mosquitoes and insects flying in around the area so we got stung quite badly. Also, you can hardly walk anywhere without the shuttle bus (twice daily) as it is very out of the way below a steep slope.

Not bad. But don't have lift so u have to manually carry luggage to the room.
