I had a pleasant stay at APA Hotel Kokura Ekimae. The location is a major highlight—it’s about a 5-minute walk from Kokura Station, making it very convenient for getting around. It’s also close to popular spots like Kokura Castle and Tanga Market, which made sightseeing easy.
The hotel operates largely on self-service, which may take a little getting used to, but everything is quite efficient. Even so, the staff are available and willing to assist when needed, which I appreciated.
Overall, a solid choice for travelers looking for convenience and accessibility in Kokura.

It was a perfect one-night stay. The location was convenient, the amenities were good, and the room was clean. I’d happily stay again when I’m in town.

Love the location, walkable distance to city downtown and castle-park area. Very much enjoyed the stay thanks to many restaurants and shopping centers nearby. Will definitely recommend to friends and families! 🏋️♂️🐶😻

The spa hotel is surprisingly quiet despite being situated right across Kokura station. The amenities were top notch.

I've stayed at this hotel several times while on business in Kokura. Im usually very satisfied as this hotel is in a very convenient location with easy public parking just across the road.
Unfortunately this time I was assigned a smoking room on a smoking floor. I don't smoke, so the odor was overpowering. Additionally, there was an ongoing party or other loud disturbance on the same floor, which prevented me from getting much sleep. Not happy.
