WARNING: JEWELRY STOLEN FROM OUR ROOM Our family recently stayed at Hotel Centro Cavour in Rome. What should have been a wonderful vacation was overshadowed when my wife’s diamond anniversary ring was stolen from our room. We are not careless travelers. We always secure jewelry, cash, and valuables in the room safe. On the morning of our Vatican tour, my wife removed her ring to apply sunscreen and placed it on the desk. In our rush to leave, she forgot to put it back on before we departed. Later that day, we realized the ring had been left behind and immediately returned to the hotel. When we entered the room, the ring was gone. We searched everywhere: luggage, clothing, drawers, bedding, under furniture, and every corner of the room. The ring did not simply disappear. We immediately reported the theft to the front desk. The response was disappointing. We were unable to speak directly with the employee involved, were not provided room access records, and were told only that the housekeeping employee was trustworthy. Beyond that, little effort appeared to be made to investigate. The ring was on the desk when we left and gone when we returned. The room had been serviced while we were out. Draw your own conclusions. The financial loss is frustrating, but the sentimental loss is far worse. This was my wife’s anniversary ring, a cherished symbol of our marriage and family memories. It can be replaced, but its sentimental value cannot. Beware of housekeeping room #606.

Breakfast was good and the rooms are fine. It is within walking distance of the Colosseum. Recommended!

The hotel staff was great. Close to the underground metro. Close to the colosseum. Unfortunately the shower didn’t drain quickly at all. Were asked to have it fixed. It got better but it still pooled up a bit.

Rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful! Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Rome. Also very close to Colloseum and other main attractions!

A very nice hotel 2 blocks away from the colisseum. Beautiful rooms. Great A/c. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definately stay there again!

Very small room, nice location close to collosium .

The staff was very helpful and attentive to all of my needs, looking after luggage while I waited to travel, providing recommendations, and providing complimentary and discounted drinks and service. The property was very well maintained and in a lovely part of the city. I felt very well located amongst the rest of the city and couldn’t have imagined it could have gone any better than it did!

Very charming hotel and even a more charming staff. Knowledgeable, courteous & helpful people. Made the our 2 day stay fantastic

Location was perfect, close to many of the iconic historical attractions and many good restaurants all around. Room was comfortable and there’s a cafe in the lobby. Elevator in the hotel which was nice.

The staff were amazing-extremely helpful and friendly and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and travel pointers. The breakfast had many options including scrambled eggs. Good location as far as being close to the Colosseum. The shower could have had a little extra water pressure- but overall a great choice!
