On check in we got charged an extra city tax that we didn’t know about or be notified about. We went on a night out and on coming back to the hotel the front entrance was closed off and no information on what door to use or what to do, another couple that was staying in the hotel opened a door for us as it was raining outside and then they got told off by the bar man for opening the door. The next morning there was a power cut in the hotel and there was no water in the taps to shower or brush teeth there was no apologies when checking out about the power cut.

The room was very spacious, especially as I had an unplanned injury before attending which resulted in my requiring a wheelchair. Despite the cleaners entering the room every day minus 1 where we chose not to have it cleaned, the room was not cleaned at all. Beds were always remade but that was it. No fresh toilet rolls, towels, water or tea/coffee. Just beds remade. The bar was lacking beer the whole time we were there and the breakfast was not a £15pp worth of food quality or quantity. You were given the choice of beans, sausage, very limited scrambled egg that were dry, and bacon that was cooked to within an inch of its life. We chose not to eat there again and found breakfast elsewhere. Parking is also £15 a day for hotel guest which I find shocking. Overall, we will not be returning to this hotel instead will choose one of the Hilton’s from across the road.

Staff was not friendly and unhelpful. Room was the last one away from the elevator. The lobby was cluttered and looked unclean. The room was small and musty. The only positive was it was near the airport- Hilton is closer - stay there. Walk to airport is very uneven and gravel-like sidewalks so be aware of that. Bumpy walk, my luggage fell over multiple times. I believe when I booked it said 4 star hotel. I wouldn’t consider this a 2.5 star and I travel a lot. The pros- near airport and bed was comfortable. Cons-everything else.

First, let me say there ARE NOT 2 restaurants on site. In fact, there is barely one. It’s a very limited menu of pub grub you order at the bar and then when the pager activates, you pick up the food. The bar has limited choices. The room was quite small and the bathroom even smaller. On the plus side, it was very quiet and the black out drapes closed completely. The bathroom amenities were great. But for the price (over $500 US per night when we went) I’d give it a definite pass.

They ran out of items for dinner, so I ended up having olives and their free gin tea drink. But to be fair, there was a huge concert in town and they were slammed! I stayed there a week prior both experiences were lovely. Highly recommended. It's so easy to walk from the airport or the car rental to your hotel and it's a nice place. Nice bar nice people.

A good hotel for those with an early flight out of the Edinburgh airport. It’s an easy and short walk from the hotel to the airport. We had dinner here and was pleasantly surprised by how good our food was. We didn’t love the atmosphere/decor but for a place to sleep it was fine.

While the bedroom was clean enough, there were many tables in the dining area which had not had dirty plates removed or tables cleaned. Lack of staff??

The room was clean but very very small. Definitely not worth the price.There was no phone in the room to call reception. Booking was for 2 people but only one bath towel provided. req. more towels and was told they didn't have any so brought hand towels instead. The restaurant can barely be called that. Very small menu and it's self order and collect. Will only stay here again of I have to. Also, it is walking distance however, there's no direct path.

The staff were so unhelpful and treated me like an inconvenience. The football was on under the desk and the manager’s attitude and how he spoke to people left a lot to be desired

The hotel was on the airport grounds so we could return our rental car the night before our flight and walk to the terminal with our luggage easily. The food available for dinner was limited but adequate. It was a welcoming place to stay at the end of our trip before flying home. The room was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.
