The location is great, near taksim yet away from the noise of taksim, close to the metro and bus station. The ameneties are very well maintained. The breakfast is great, it has everything. The room is good, it's vintage, not modern, and requires a little bit of enhancement. The room was not the best. We were first given a room on the second floor, it smelled like smoke, although we reserved a non smoking bedroom. We complained to the checkin service, and they gave us another room on the 12th floor that was good. The room does not have a place to put the phone on charger, it's better to take a long wire socket with you. The check in service was bad, he didn't tell us one true thing, although he was arabic speaking and we were speaking with him in arabic. We asked him for a room on the higher floor, he said there is none, when we complained about the bad smoke smell, he gave us a room on the 12th floor. We asked him if there is a pool, he told us that it's closed, then we discovered that it's open. We asked him if there is a bath tub in the room, he said no, but there was a bath tub in the room. We asked him if we can pay for breakfast on the spot, he said it would cost 100$ for two persons but it will cost 75$ for two persons if reserved one day ahead. We went on spot to the breakfast, and it costs 75$ for two persons.

Hotel is beautiful! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. My room was a bit dated but it served its purpose. If I ever return to Istanbul, most likely I will stay at a different hotel, only because I’m not a fan of bath tubs.

Clean room

The hotel was doing internal building work next door to my room. The noise was deafening at points and work me early. They should really avoid putting people in rooms when they are doing very loud building work next door. I complained as I checked out (stayed for one night) and the staff were unmoved and didn’t seem to care.

Dated.
