Our stay in this hotel was outstanding thanks to the staff from the beginning to the end. The quality of the food and variety was also appreciated.

It was terrible experience in the restaurant and the room only had a one big towel

Good location

I recently completed a five-night stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square. The hotel’s greatest strength is its excellent location in the heart of Shanghai, just minutes from many of the city’s most iconic attractions, shopping districts, and cultural landmarks. The sweeping skyline views from the guest rooms are truly impressive and among the property’s highlights. Breakfast was consistently prompt each morning, with a thoughtful and well-balanced selection of local and international options. Unfortunately, several aspects of the stay fell short of expectations. Housekeeping was inconsistent, as trash was never removed from my room during my stay. The pillows were of poor quality and flattened almost immediately, making sleep less comfortable. The bathtub drain plug was also defective, causing drainage issues. I was disappointed by some staff interactions. As a Mandarin speaker, I overheard conversations that were unprofessional when staff assumed I could not understand them. Outside the hotel, smoking taxi drivers gathered near the entrance, detracting from the otherwise upscale atmosphere. The room was also consistently warmer than expected. Despite having an individual thermostat, the air conditioning appeared to be centrally controlled and was unable to adequately cool the room. I ultimately purchased a small fan to remain comfortable at night. Overall, the hotel offers a comfortable stay, but definitely not up to the Marriott standard I know.

We like everything about the property, it meet all of the advertised claims. Views fantastic unmatched by every hotel I’ve stayed at for city views. Shanghai is spectacular at night. Clear comfortable rooms with every amenity you would desire. Food was amazing Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Bottom line it’s a five star for litany of reasons. When I return JW MARRIOTT is on my list.

Great location between East Nanjing and West Nanjing road areas. Right next to metro station with direct link to airport. Rooms are clean, comfortable and offer great views. Will stay here next time when in Shanghai

Perfect location , phantastic views - rooms start on the 39th floor up to 50something

Quite possibly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed (even among 5-star hotels I’ve been to before). The breakfast is outstanding. Staff are so helpful.
