​A great value stay—as long as your expectations are realistic ​This is a great VALUE hotel. When I checked in, the room was missing towels and a shower curtain, but the staff ran some towels up right away. The bed and sheets were clean, and I felt safe... though, to be fair, I’m a 200+ lb guy with a martial arts background. There were also two small, suspicious brown stains on the wall next to the sink that may have been fecal matter, but otherwise, the room served its purpose. ​Location-wise, it was an easy drive to OSU for my daughter's orientation. The rest of my party stayed at The Blackwell and absolutely loved it—but at 2 to 3 times the price. To quote the classic ad campaign: a budget motel and a luxury hotel look exactly the same once you’re asleep. ​The staff was a highlight. The front desk team was kind, polite, and responsive from behind the bulletproof glass. The cleaning crew (including Anthony from Puebla, Mexico) was also incredibly polite and communicative once we switched to speaking Spanish. ​My wife and daughter probably wouldn't have been quite as forgiving in their reviews, but the place is what it is: a cheap, mostly clean, and highly affordable place to crash, if you're not bothered by a few overstuffed vehicles that are reminiscent of Jelopies from the Grapes of Rath.

Place is disgusting they should close it down

- The entrance to the room was not clean and had a weird smell. (smoking) - The room was not clean and some food from the previous visitors i guess. Sheets had visible stains. - Saw some roaches/bugs. - The bathroom did not have a shower curtain. - I was not provided any towels. - The phone did not work. I called the reception to request towels, shower curtain they said they will inform house keeping but no one showed up the entire evening. I had to call again the next morning. I was asked to pickup them up from reception as house keeping was not available yet. I had to pick them up and install the curtain myself. I hate the overall experience and would not recommend it.

Bulldoze this and start again

tiny towels in bathroom. Water temperature hard to control. Shower leaking and spraying all over. TV streaming only, no local channels. Fridge froze my medications.

Well, it’s been a whole week since I’ve checked out a full seven days and I still haven’t got my security deposit back. That’s always a fun gamble?

Not very clean. I had hair on my bed sheets. I had no shower curtain in my room when I checked in. The room was missing a remote. No one serviced my room while I was there (didn't empty trash or bring fresh towels). There was also a language barrier that made it hard to communicate w/ the staff.
