Stay here every summer. Not as clean as it used to be. Tub was full of hair and very musty smelling room. Needs a good renovation. Location is great.

Parking is expensive not free Don’t move minibar item even if you don’t use them they will charge you. Very long waiting to check in, Elevator so complicated to use Nice lobby and good spot too crowded. Thanks

Beautiful hotel with great staff

Great room, great food, great staff

The rooms are not luxury level, they’re small and very basic. The doors did nothing to block sound from the hall. Of course everything was for a price. In 2026 how do hotels like this have the gall to charge for wifi. I was raised with a silver spoon in my mouth and wanted to treat my friends to a nice, posh, memorable stay. This was not it. On a positive note, really nice bathroom. Small, but really well appointed. The details of remodeling are really second class. I’ll not recommend it, graciousness is the heart of class accommodations.

Location was great for the activities and places I need to get to.

When we checked in, we were told that we would be upgraded as it was our first visit to Fairmont Royal York. Great, we thought but when we got to our room on 11th floor, we questioned what we had been upgraded from. It was a smallish room with no extra special facilities or amenities. When we queried what level of room we had booked, we were told that 11- 173 was the same size and grade as we had booked but this room had new furniture and was luxury. Not quite what had hoped for when being told we had an upgrade! This room was not what you would describe as luxury. Fairly cramped, huge work desk (why? I'm on holiday and there probably was a business area downstairs) and one tiny easy chair tucked in the corner facing away from tv. However, the most disappointing factor was the sauna and steam rooms. We had booked this hotel as a treat at the end of a long trip around East Coast Canada hoping to have time to chill and relax together. Instead there I was - Billy no mates sitting in the steam room on my own! The hotel has designed the sauna and steam rooms to be only accessible from the male and female changing rooms. Single sex relaxation is the order of the day! Great that same sex couples can enjoy time together but discriminating against others. We were expecting top end luxury but it was disappointing. Does this hotel rely too much on previous history and not respond to needs of today's clientele?

We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Royal York! We did have a couple issues upon check-in however the manager immediately handled the situation. The rooms were very comfortable, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The housekeeper even knew my name and would greet me every time she saw me. They really go above and beyond when it comes to service. Highly recommend a stay here.

Rooms quite small. No lock box. Fridge was useless because completely packed with purchase items.
