Stayed here because ifproximity to train station. Loved the size of the room, the AC, the comfortable bed, the sitting area, the huge bathroom, the breakfast and easy walking access to Old Town and the elegant character of the hotel.

Was in a great location! Right across from tram station; easy walk to many cafes and shops to explore beautiful Basel!

We stayed in a room in the new villa section, and it was wonderful. Lots of space, quiet and with great natural light. The bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was spotless. The hotel is in a great location with easy walking to main sights or very convenient access to public transport. We were worried that it would be noisy being close to the trains and trams, but we found it peaceful. Lots of good restaurants in easy walking distance or a short tram ride away, and the hotel bar is a pleasant place to relax. We stayed in Basel for four nights at the end of spring and there was stacks to do - cycling, walking, dining, museums, galleries, bars, music.

By far, the best part of this hotel is the location near the train station. The hotel is very well kept and clean. It is very walkable to all parts of the city. The staff was very friendly in all aspect. The hotel bar was convenient as well.
