Great room as always, and awesome breakfast as always

Thank you to all the staff. Everyone was kind and friendly. Wonderful service and tidy/clean room. We enjoyed our stay so much! Would recommend!

Average breakfast. Room was cold on ground level, mezzanine level hot. Furbishments quite dated. Park-like environment is nice and close proximity to motorway is a bonus.

Very convenient and well maintained

Unfortunately the upper bedside lights were not working. The reception offered to take a look but when I came back in the evening they were still faulty.

I enjoyed my stay a here, the place was clean and met all my needs . They're is plenty of shopping opportunities within walking distance .It was great having a walking track with a nice view to use every day. I have some great memories of walking part of the basin to go to the swimming pool on the far side as a child and riding on the model train down to the right of the entrance to the track. I would definitely stay again when I return to Auckland.

Overnight for a funeral in area so was chosen for location . Very tidy hotel . Would have been a 5 star all round but for a visit to the bar and an overpriced beer . 18$ for 1 panhead supercharger . Would have stopped for another but can’t justify paying 18$ for a beer .

Hi there, the overall stay was just okay. We did not get the room we booked, we waited ages to see reception when checking in, though the front of house was nice. The breakfast buffet was alright however the restaurant manager from Friday and Saturday gave us weird looks and was not hospitable. On Sunday it was different staff for breakfast , they were talking loudly amongst each other where we would have preferred less noise. The bathroom in our room had black mould in the shower, also we asked the room maintenance lady to replace our bedding however they just re did the bed with the same sheets. We also did not have our toilet rolls refreshed as we had to ask for them. Besides our initial interaction with the lady who checked us in, she was a delight. Every time we walked past the reception there was no smiles or greetings! Whatever happened to hospitality, the Indian man was always on the phone speaking in his language while I was waiting to be served. The dinner buffet had limited options and 1 of the 2 roast options was dry (pork), thoroughly enjoyed the grilled veges tho. Thank you Waipuna, loved the views however there won’t be a second booking. Please note the pool was dirty as-well.

Great stay as always! Clean, comfortable and quiet.
