This was a very nice place to stay, and I would recommend it overall. However, we did experience a few issues at check‑in with the young woman assisting us. We were originally assigned a room in the main building on the second floor, which we preferred, but she changed it at the last minute to a different building. That wasn’t a major problem, but she also explained that the hotel collects taxes separately and needed my credit card. I had already paid the full amount through Travelocity, and she assured me—twice—that I would not be charged anything beyond what Travelocity had already collected. After returning home, I saw on my credit card statement that we were indeed charged the additional tax. While we enjoyed the hotel and the stay itself, it was disappointing to be charged more than what we were clearly told to expect.

Everything was excellent until checkout. I had a legitimate question about charges/bill. I was told one thing at check in and a different thing at check out. The front desk called to the manager to help her answer my question. From the time she came out from the time she returned she was nothing but bothered, rude and unprofessional. I was polite and simply asking about my bill and how it differed from what I was told at check-in. I wasn't asking for anything other than an explanation. When I said what she was telling me was different from what I was told at check-in she spoke in annoyed voice and simply said "THE BILL IS CORRECT. HAVE A GOOD DAY" and walked away from me and into the back. That was it. Maybe the bill was correct and the person at check-in made a mistake. Fine. At least acknowledge me and my legitimate question and provide explanation. Everything else other than this was fine. Unfortunately, although we were planning a future stay, we will be looking elsewhere for a place that will hopefully treat their guests with more respect. The property was fine but the actual checking in had a few issues. Bad communication with a few things. Had an adult come for 1 night but was charged for them to stay the whole trip. You only get 1 parking pass and if you want to park a second vehicle the lot is 1 mile away. Other then that good location, you can use the lake and they give you kayacks to use as well.

Love this place! Come yearly with my daughter for a trip for 2 nights and have the best time. Clean rooms, pool and beach area. Don't even have to leave the grounds to have a good time. Always a good meal at the cabana restaurant with awesome service. Only thing they could improve on is there breakfast. Breakfast service is terrible and food seems like it's frozen, not the best so we do go offsite for breakfast.

Great place to stay!

We ended up here during a quick weekend trip after our first night at the Brookside motel was completely a disaster. I jumped on the app and found this for our next night and I wish I had found this place originally! The entire property was spotless. Rooms had all the essentials coffee maker, plates and utensils, cups, soaps, shampoo conditioner ironing board, ice and a huge soaking tub! Beds were very comfortable, the rooftop bar by the pool had great food and drinks. You can even order from the poolside! They use the toast app for payment so you only need your phone and nothing else wry convenient! They even text me during my stay to make sure everything was going well which was very thoughtful. Also they have their own little private beach that you do have to bring your own towels to but they have a little shack that lets you borrow lake toys like floaty things and paddle boards. Would most definitely go back!

Always a great place to stay!

Rooms are super spacious ridiculously clean. The staff is amazing. The location is super convenient close to everything. The pool was clean and awesome. The lake/beach was amazing. They have bar poolside. They have restaurants. It’s just overall amazing. I have been coming to Lake George for several years and we continuously come back to the Surfside resort. They never let us down. We had such an amazing time and we are so excited to come back again and again and again and again.

The motel was ok. It was like a maze to find anything and to get around. The problem I had was no cell phone service in motel. Motel phone were not working either (must be for looks). There was Wifi didn't help with cell phones. Complained, did nothing. CHECK OUT 2 hrs from arrival. Requested money back, said NO.

Very good. Can be more handicap accessible.
