Beautiful heritage property that was clean, comfortable and easy to park at. Great location for city access on foot too.

My experience at Windarra On High (as a solo traveller) is on par with stays at some of the most prestigious hotels in the world. I arrived in Launceston late in the evening, so I had to rely on instructions from the team at Windarra On High to get access. I’m extremely relieved to say the check-in instructions were absolutely accurate, allowing me to settle in seamlessly. The interiors (the common hallways, the dining room and the guest room) were absolutely stunning and spotless. The common hallways, dining room, and guest rooms were absolutely stunning and spotless, not to mention how warm and cozy the room was for a cold winter night in Launceston. The next morning, I had the pleasure of meeting Susanna over the complimentary breakfast. She is exceptionally warm, welcoming, and clearly works tirelessly to ensure a flawless guest experience. The breakfast itself was incredibly fulfilling, with a wonderful variety of options on offer. If you’re visiting Launceston and want to soak up the local heritage while enjoying a world-class experience, why would you stay anywhere else?

I had a wonderful stay, the building is very charming and clean, as was my room. the Bed was comfortable. I appreciated how easy check in and out was. There were a couple of small maintenance issues with my room (a wall lamp that did not work and the sliding bathroom door was off its hinges) but I mentioned them to somebody at breakfast the next day and she said she would be happy to pass the message along. I do think advertising as free parking is slightly misleading when the parking is available on street and only free on weekends and outside of working hours, but it did not impact my stay which was on the weekend.

Absolutely lovely room/s and furnishings. Great location, walk to town centre. Friendly staff/owners. We will definitely be booking again!!

Room was a good size, and we were able to park right out the front. Breakfast was lovely, big selection of cereals, yogurt and breads available. Was lovely to have the electric fire going in the room. Clear instructions received on how to use the digital key pad at the front door, and the location of our room. Located close to the CBD. Would happily stay again if visiting Launceston.

Widara on High was a beautiful place to stay in Launceston. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and breakfast was very good. Parking out front was no problem as it was a weekend. Highly recommend.
