Great location and hotel!

I stayed here on business. After checking in, my room was not going to be ready for awhile. They offered an upgrade to "deluxe" which apparently meant slightly bigger room than the one I had booked. The room was a good size for NYC. Unfortunately I was unable to shower fully night 1 bc the dial to the shower head was broken. I did my best with the handheld attachment. I was also unable to plug my phone in on the bedside outlet as it was disengaged from the head of the bed. To their credit, it was fixed by the time I returned from meetings on day 2 after alerting the front desk. Breakfast was fine. The waitstaff in the Hillside are wonderful. There was a "business center" which is an office you can request to utilize. No other amenities on property. Overall "fine" but unfortunately I felt like my stay was marred by ongoing issues that I would not expect at a property that bills itself as luxury.

Rooftop bar and restaurant were both closed Sunday and Monday evening which was our stay. Be mindful of that before booking

I’ve stayed in many NYC hotels over the last few decades and my first stay at The Prince Kitano definitely puts it near the top of the list of favorites I would definitely stay again. Every staff member I encountered was professional, friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate, comfortable bed, and I love the smart toilet. Bonus for Empire State Building view from my room. Super convenient midtown location too. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Great location. Quiet. Not crowded.

We stayed in one of the townhouse suite which is quite large with two separate rooms connecting by a hall way. It provided very good privacy and allowed us to spread out without interfering with other. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to get refund for the first two nights after our flight was canceled and diverted to Chicago due to flooding of the New York airports. The hotel is very quiet and conveniently located in the middle of the city with walking distance to a lot of major attractions. The only complaint is that the townhouse suite has only one small bathroom with one sink and the decor is a bit dated and furniture can use some upgrade.

The Prince Kitano will be our go to for NYC from now on. Not only is the staff so kind and helpful bit the location is perfect. You can walk to Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Union Station easily and many more. The Park Avenue location makes you feel that you actually live in New York City. It is calm and quiet in the evenings and bustling but easy to navigate in the day. Transportation from this hotel is simple, wether you meed to hale a cab, call an uber or catch the subway this is the best location for all your transportation needs. Can’t give this hotel more stars, but would if I could!

Unfortunately our bathroom toilet was not clean. And we tried to go to the rooftop bar and it was closed for a private party. We were disappointed
