I just would have enjoyed there being more events planned in the evening. Overall it was a nice place.

Have been to this resort over 4 times and the quality has gone down. Especially the restaurants choices and food quality. I feel the vibe is gone unfortunately.

Stayed beginning of June for 4 nights. Wonderful resort. I have stayed at 6 other "brand" resorts in the Cancun area in the recent years and this was my first time at Live Aqua. If you are looking for luxury with a calm, relaxing atmosphere - this is the place. The pools and cabanas are wonderful, excellent beach (minus the seaweed, not their fault). So many little surprises we stumbled onto just walking around and exploring the pool area. They had the BEST food I've ever had at a resort! The evening dining experience was top tier. (Ask for Caesar at the restaurants, he was so fabulous with recommendations off the menu and will completely take care of you!) Not a party resort at all; just for peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend this resort to anyone.

The room was amazing to start off, always had great staff that checked consistently on housekeeping needs. The staff was on another level, they were so polite and would remember you from day to day as you were not just another person to them. The view was incredible, and it didn’t really matter where you were on the resort. Lastly the best thing of all time, the pool. It was hard to even want to go to the beach because the pools plural had so much to offer that were amazing

Had to change rooms several times, first smelled horribly like mold, and next 2 the air conditioning didn’t work for the entire stay and multiple guests had the same issue after talking to some. They sent some supposed maintenance staff, but they had no idea how to fix anything. Staff was nice, but the butler manager and in general all mangers including main general manager and restaurant mangers were the worst, useless individuals and could care less about any complaints. People were so mad about things one gentleman was yelling at a manger because of their incompetence. We stayed at live aqua in the DR and didn’t really have any of these issues. Food was good and activities were fun, but seaweed they did the bare minimum to clean up. Beach was pretty much unusable unless you just want to lay on the beach. Don’t stay here there’s better places to stay in Cancun.

Our overall stay at this hotel was good, and the facilities and general service met our expectations. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by a very serious incident. My wife’s pants were stolen from our room, and we strongly believe they were taken during housekeeping service. After we reported the issue, security and hotel staff came to inspect our room, but they were unable to provide any explanation or resolution. What was even more disappointing was that no one offered a simple apology or showed genuine concern for what had happened. We were told that management would follow up with us, but nobody ever contacted us. The loss of a personal item is frustrating, but the lack of accountability and poor customer service afterward was even worse. As guests, we expect our belongings to be safe and for the hotel to handle serious incidents professionally. Unfortunately, this hotel failed to do so. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. If a property cannot properly manage its staff or protect its guests’ belongings, it raises serious concerns about guest security and trust.

Here’s a more polished and compelling version for a review: This was my third stay at this hotel, and it reminded me exactly why I keep coming back. During my last trip to Cancún, I decided to try a different property, only to realize how much I missed this gem. It had been more than ten years since my previous stay here, yet I was just as impressed as ever. The rooms are beautiful and impeccably maintained, the food is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of elegance, relaxation, and authenticity that I look for in a beach resort. This hotel continues to deliver an exceptional experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cancún. I’m already looking forward to my next stay.

Great resort except for a lot of seaweed on beach even tho they cleaned everyday. No complaints! Definitely going back!

I get food poisoning. I only ate and drank on site. Pretty sure it was the ceviche or juice.
