Crowne Plaza Zhongguancun is higher quality than comparably priced hotels in the area. It is spotless, has beautiful decoration, and the rooms are clean, nice, and quiet. The fitness center is high quality and well maintained. The breakfast is better and more fresh than other comparably priced hotels in Beijing. What really stands out is the service. Head concierge Joseph Du is extremely sharp and communicative, and is able to arrange just about anything you need. He may be the best head concierge I have ever encountered. The staff has good English skills and are also very sharp; if you speak Chinese, all the better - they have impeccable customer service. Would definitely recommend Crowne Plaza Zhongguancun to others!

We had a wonderful stay at the Crowne Plaza Beijing Zhongguancun - it is well located in a leafy neighborhood with many good restaurants nearby, and a subway station just down the street. We very much enjoyed the lavish buffet breakfasts and the helpful attendants at the exercise center and indoor pool. But I particularly want to note our housekeepers, Liu Jin Yun and Xu Cui Xia -- they did a great job making our room spotless and they always left us extra water bottles and friendly notes. They really took our experience to the next level! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Zhongguancun, and I look forward to returning on our next visit.

Convenient location where many good restaurants around. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Room is very clean. However, breakfast is not as good as I expected, not many varieties to choose.

I have stayed at this hotel about 10 times. I had a couple of bad experiences this time. 1) The person in the downstairs salon was rather rude, laughing at me when I gave her my coupon for a drink as if since I wasn't paying, that I shouldn't get service. 2) Beijing was experiencing unusually warm weather and the rooms were unbearably hot. When I asked them to fix the air con in my room they said the whole hotel had no air con as they had turned it off. I slept really poorly for two nights because of this. That is not acceptable. They should have offered fans at reception when I checked in.

Helpful staff, clean room, big bathroom. Location was quite convenient, close to Metro Line 10 stations Haidian Huangzhuang and Zhicunli.

Nice place to stay

The room was boiling hot when I arrived. I turned on the AC but it did nothing. I ended up opening all the windows and turning off the AC completely. By morning it was 19C in the room, but I had hardly slept. I left the windows open and put DND on the door so that the maid would not close the windows. After that it was fine. Had a really nice buffer dinner on Friday night with good German beer, barbecue, hot pot, sashimi and dessert. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

The staff was very nice. She provided us additional free bottled water since it was very dry.

Wonderful hotel. The absolute stars in terms of the staff were Elena Cherkes and Nina Feng, both in the wonderful Executive Lounge on the 20th floor and serving at breakfast. Nina helped organise a vital business meeting at short notice and Elena was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. I also greatly appreciated the help of Joseph Du at reception/concierge - he went out of his way to help throughout my stay too.
