This is absolutely NOT a 4-star establishment. And they tried to rip me off from Day 1- Starting with the mandatory 150$/night ‘resort fee’ buried in their TOS. Charged me for food and fees I did NOT consent to upon checkout, had to argue to remove them. What resort amenities are available? Basically a pool that requires the service elevator down an uncleaned hallway to access. A room with a clear glass wall looking directly into the shower- Fun for guests who stay as a family! Not. Dirty, food-stained curtains that barely closed, a platform bed designed to be an absolute trip hazard with dirty, cigarette-smell carpeting wall to wall. Even the bed area. Staff were wonderful! Cannot recommend highly enough, and the rooftop pool is beautiful, but this area is deeply unsafe as a solo traveller. Hard drug users+unsafe area to be in if solo. Staying more than 1-2 nights is awful, would not recommend. Would have left on Day 1/5, but I had paid in advance.

Clean, staff excellent very helpful with great customer service. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend a stay here as well.

The staff is very kind and ready to help. I had a little problem when I checked in and they resolved it immediately.

This location is convenient to everything in downtown LA. I found the elevators were very slow, and it was difficult getting to the rooftop pool and restaurant due to ongoing maintenance issues. Getting room service every other day was also an inconvenience for my short stay.

Very clean, organized and friendly staff members. Restaurants were clean and food was solid.

This was a unique hotel and lovely aesthetic in downtown LA. I would highly recommend staying here!

The room had everything we needed. It was nicely decorated and close enough to store. We bought the breakfast package and I’m glad we did. It was delicious and worth the money.

Beautiful lobby in an historic building. I just love the mid-century vibe! The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The rooftop pool is lovely with an amazing view. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. That said, I don’t love the $100 per night hold on the credit card …it seems excessive to hold $700 for a week. So, just be aware because it could really affect people’s available credit while traveling.

It was a great little hotel. A little bit on the older side as far as the rooms, but it was clean, safe, and well put together. It was located perfectly for the Conference I was attending. The pool and rooftop restaurant were a highlight!

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was nice in size and clean. IMO I was just expecting it to be more of a high end place. The carpets needed to be changed the elevators were old and extremely slow and the small white tiles in half of the room are so out dated. Needs a serious upgrading. The food choices for room service was pretty much breakfast only. $7.00 for a bottle of water in your room is ridiculous. I know it’s like that at other hotels also. When is a hotel going to figure out that you should not screw the people that are paying your salary. How about charge $3.00 a bottle which is still BS but not leave a sour taste in your customers mouth. I gave it 4 stars but honestly it’s more like a 3 star hotel. I have stayed in a heck of a lot nicer places for less.
