Breakfast wasn’t that great, hotel was OK on the older side, but it did its job

Overall, our stay was okay, but I don't feel the experience matched the price compared to other places we've stayed in Breckenridge. One of the biggest downsides was the additional $50 per night parking fee, especially since many comparable hotels in the area offer complimentary parking. We were also disappointed that we weren't notified ahead of time that the bar would be closed for renovations and that no accommodation or reduced rate was offered for the inconvenience. The complimentary breakfast was appreciated, but the selection was very limited and the quality wasn't great. We ended up eating out most mornings anyway. Our room's bed was uneven and uncomfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The pool area was enjoyable, but it didn't seem to be well maintained. It appeared that the pool hadn't been cleaned or had its chemicals adjusted before opening the next day, and the hot tub was noticeably green and cloudy, making us uncomfortable using it. There were some positives, and the staff was pleasant, but given the cost of the stay and the additional fees, I expected better amenities and maintenance. Unfortunately, I don't think the overall value compares well with other lodging options in Breckenridge.

The bar is under renovations, so closed. They seemed to be doing a lot of remodeling, from mudding walls while we were there, to painting stairwells, to pounding on something or other at 6:00 pm Saturday evening. The bathroom door wouldn't close, and the toilet paper holder was loose on the wall so that the toilet paper roll would fall off. The entry door has a 1" gap underneath, and a gap where it closes so that any conversation by people walking by was easily heard. The biggest negative that set the tone was that on checkin, they informed me of a new parking system they just installed, where hotel occupants would pay $40 per night, per vehicle and an addition $5.95 processing fee per vehicle, per night. Almost $92.00 for a 2 night stay! They did comp me the parking after inquiry, but that just killed the vibe for me. Will never go back to Breck, it was just a place to see how a business cold separate you from you money. The town was nothing special to me. Ouray was much better.

Friendly staff and great location

Our room was perfect and location was great. We were there for just 2 nights but everything walking distance.

In the first room the heat was on, temperature was 88⁰ and the AC was not turning on after attempting, we walked straight back to the front desk and explained that would not be okay for us and our dog. The front desk said she could send maintenance.. she then said she could make an exception, but that they normally would not offer a different room. The only other room had construction going on above, there was hammering / pounding heard from the ceiling for the first 30 minutes. I undertand that remodels require noise and unsightly areas, but so much of that hotel and the rooms look worn down, definitely not a place where $50 parking per day and a $100 pet fee is appropriate. The breakfast was good, lots of options, but i'd never suggest this hotel based on the customer service, extra charges, and looking like a low-grade motel in the rooms and hallways.

Should let know there is construction on site

Spacious, clean rooms and a good breakfast with hot and cold options. Walking distance to downtown Breck. Parking is separate from the hotel and was $40 per night even with ski season over! No one tells you that until you check in. Then there was a $40 per night "Destination Fee" added when we checked out that was for the shuttle anda we could have had a $20 bar credit but weren't told until checkout. Nice hotel but beware of hidden fees.
