My room smelled horribly like cigarettes, the floor and furniture were stained and busted up, the toilet leaked. The staff was the least friendly out of several hotels across Japan, but it was the busiest location so maybe just overworked. Also, it's near the shopping and food areas, but it's also center of the red light district. Many ladies all along the wall up to the hotel. Maybe it's your thing, but if your a family with kids maybe somewhere else. Breakfast was ok.

Not sure how many stars this hotel is, if it's a 3 star hotel then I guess the amenities are ok but if it's a 4 star hotel, then it's poor. The staff speak limited English and especially since the baggage forwarding service is "self service", all the other hotels I stayed at arranged this for us. But not this one. Staff seemed uninterested, the other hotels I stayed in Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto were very respectful and helpful. Not this one I'm afraid. The fridge in the room didn't work and the bathroom didn't smell nice (there was a constant drain smell).

central place. very convenient for shopping, sightseeing meetups, trains. if it is your first time in japan, highly recommend this hotel due to the location.

Good location for travelling and shopping. Lawson is just next door, very convenient. Laundry is on the same floor, the breakfast was good. The rooms are clean and housekeeping was done daily. We enjoyed our stay and would go back to the same location.

The location was excellent - located in the popular Dotonbori area, close to the long shopping street (Shinsaibashi), and very affordable. Buffet breakfast was also very good. Hotel staff very helpful.

Very convenient to Dontonburi area and when you come out of hotel, you are just a minute away from the riverfront boardwalk and to other parts of Dontonburi. No need to take a subway as everything is nearby the Holiday Inn unless you want to go outside of Dontonburi. We went to USJ and just walked to Namba Stn to get to our train (1 transfer). I would stay at hotel again for location convenience and the hotel accommodation and room was clean and reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful especially when my bathroom faucet lever fell off and needed to be reinstalled. There is restaurants in hotel but why eat there when u can eat in Dontonburi for local Japanese foods than Western foods.
