The hotel was clean & cozy. The staff of the hotel was friendly and willing to help. Highly recommend if you need to stay at Fenqihu.

清幽

No A/C. very hot in room. The water temperature is Not stable, sometimes is too damn hot, can burn up your skin. Very terrible situation when you taking shower.

Nice location but need to walk up two sections of staircases. Bathroom is outdated.

Only the weather three is comforting me.

The smell is not good and the room size is too small.

The double room allocated for me is smaller than it appears online and on the second floor which connects to a common balcony - people can appear right at my window. Since the netting is not locked, if I leave my window open for ventilation, anyone on the little balcony can open the netting and climb in. A cockroach also appeared in my room which makes me quite uncomfortable. Overall it'll be fine for a short stay but perhaps not too long.

The location of the hotel is in Fenhiqu and this is out of the way if your primary destination is Alishan. I was told that no bus goes direct to Alishan from Fenhiqu only a couple go to Chiayi City. The city is a better base if getting rooms in Alishan is difficult because buses to Alishan leave every hour. But Fenqihu itself is a nice quiet tourist area with a quaint train station and lots of forest trails and not crowded. Yahu Hotel is located in the old street and very close to the train and bus stations. The reception office is in another building across the pedestrian street. The staff is very kind and accommodating. She even accompanied me to the bus station so I won't be able to miss the only bus in the morning. If you want peace and quiet in a forested environment then Fenhiqu is a place to go. No crowds!

Friendly staff. But 4-room hotel in terrible condition.

Very close to fenqihu laojia and fenquhu train. There the bus to Alishan or Chiayi just 5 mins walk but the bus quite limited have to plan ahead. The hotel is kind of Japanese style not new but cool. The restaurant just around.
