I was traveling solo through Matsushima Bay and I found this amazing Ryokan through an AI/Google search. I was highly impressed with service provided by the staff! I especially liked their use of some cool technology I had not seen before (it was a set up of two microphones, one facing the guest and one facing the staff, that automatically translated speech to text for display on a digital board between us as we spoke to each other). This was extremely helpful during my check in/out process since I usually fumble with Google Translate.
My room + the view was immaculate and had everything I needed plus more! I thoroughly enjoyed my onsen experience and I can’t wait to experience more in the future. This was the best choice I could have made for my first true Ryokan experience.
Note: They have a set time for dinner so if you are arriving after they have completed dinner service be prepared to make other arrangements just in case.

This hotel is wonderful and so very relaxing. The staff are so kind and so thoughtful. The food is amazing. I would give 6 stars if I could.
