Clean room

Traveling to Wakayama City for the fourth time, our family (including two teenage daughters) decided to try the Marina City Hotel, and we weren't disappointed. It's perfect for families with younger or teenaged children. There's always something to do, from the amusement park to the markets and Onsen. The optional breakfasts were superb, with something for everyone. The staff are phenomenal, as you can usually expect in Japan. It's only a two-minute walk to a breathtaking view of Wakayama Bay, including some of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. My only suggestion, rent a car if you plan to see any other parts of Wakayama City.

It is a very new hotel, new concept of hotel management, so we are old age learning new way of hotel staying ! :) Remember this hotel is 10am checked out , I didn’t notice it … so we ere a bit late to checkout, but the lady in charge is very friendly and helpful, very polite too ! All in all, the hotel provides us a clean and safety environment! Happy stay ! Thank you !

The hotel is cute and the staff is amazing. However, the hotel is old (decor needs a refresh) and somewhat dirty eg. behind the bed, cabinets, corners had lots of accumulated dusty balls (we dropped something behind the side table). The pool was closed to our disappointment. We didn't realize that summer started in mid-late July but not sure that should be reason for closure.

Large room with wonderful view outside. I love the bathroom very much. Only drawback is the location of hotel. Need to drive to there.

We are endunit.next emergency door is dirty by ower unit entrance. Feeling cond not hotel except lobby areas.

The counter staff is helpful in helping us to book a boat cruise in kumano ;
