It was a nice and spacious place, surroundings are quite pleasant and not touristy. However, inside the apartment it was not very clean. There were food stains on the table, and food crumbs everywhere. The floor was not clean too, which is surprising by Japanese standards. In the day, it is bright and nice but that is a problem when the sun rises at 4.30am. The apartment and bedroom does not have any blackout curtains so once the sun rises, you cannot sleep well.

Clean room. House cleaning done. Full provision of appliances. Love the onsen and vibe chair. Supermarket very close by. Rather big with everything you need. Good steak resturant and pudding shop within walking distance.

Stayed here while visiting Nikko. This is a single family home. What can we say. We loved the place. Very clean and safe. Bedroom upstairs more like a loft with 2 queen beds. One main restroom with the onsen and walk in shower. Also has the washer/dryer combo in place. Another restroom with toilet and small sink. There is 2nd restroom next to the kitchen area with toilet and sink. And a 3rd restroom by the main entrance with sauna and shower. Check in was relatively easy although we had to dial in a few times due to “high volime” of calls at the time. There were free drinks including water and tea, some juice and beer in the fridge. Appliances were a bit challenging to use as Google Translate was not the best, but we figured it out. Washer/dryer combo is eco-friendly so can only wash a few clothes at a time and it takes a long time to dry. Villa itself is about 11-14 min walk to the train station. Uber will get you from Nikko train station to the Villa, but they will not pick you up from Villa to Nikko so keep that in mind when you pack. We had to lug 2 suitcase each to the local train station in the morning to take the trains back to Nikko station to take our train back to Tokyo. That was not fun. So pack accordingly or rent a car. Villa also walkable to restaurants and 7-eleven. Restaurants nearby close early, so make sure you eat in Nikko before coming back. Or make reservations well in advance or you will be turned away. Would stay here again, but will rent car next time.

Love the private Onsen and sauna and the house is new and very clean love the layout! The couch could be more comfortable but very modern

The apartment was very clean. All the amenities worked as expected. The large flat screen TV was very nice. The Onsen and hot stone bath were great.

There is a dog friendly room available at property. We booked a kid-friendly room with an indoor slide and net trampoline

We were traveling with a large family and this property suited our needs perfectly. We had space for kids and adults, plus there's laundry and an onsen. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. We'd definitely come back to this location.

Beautiful pace with great amenities. A big contrast to Tokyo. Clean, modern, spacious.

We stayed here for 3 nights during October. Our first impression was very positive. we liked the design and spaciousness of the house. We were happy to receive complementary drinks. All the essentials were covered. The instructions were clear and we especially appreciated the guide on how to use the various appliances. Location is near Tobu World Square station. It was easy to walking back and forth. The accessible grocery and drugstore was also great to have and needed for long stays when you have to eat in. While the house was clean for the most part, the chairs would benefit from some deep cleaning to get the stains out. We were disappointed to have not been able fully feel comfortable as far as seating is concerned. The first floor WC window should also be cleaned as there were many insects. With that said, we had a great time overall and would definitely recommend it. We took advantage of the sauna and hot spring which made the whole experience even better. We would definitely be returning and explore other Rakuten stays.
