Our new favourite luxury hotel in Auckland! The best location and stunning views

Appreciate the location, but the lack of convenience for arrival and departure is a serious drawback. No place for inner or tour pick up/drop-off. There is no real lobby and an only 2 chairs in the lower lobby when waiting for a ride. The staff was pleasant. They did meet a special request that I made for a birthday one of our party was having and arranged to have the three room we reserved on the same floor. Otherwise I had virtually no contact with the staff. I am not sure if that is “good” or “bad”. Room was nice. Could have used an additional chair at the table in the Junior suite. Had trouble keeping the room at a good temperature…too cold in winter, especially with the surround of floor to ceiling windows. Bathroom was nice and amenities were good. Bed was very comfortable. There was significant street noise, even on the 9th floor. Housekeeping did an excellent job with the room. Appreciate the refillable water carafe. Wish the refrigerator was not so full of for purchase items… Convenient location attached to a food court and plenty of local eateries. We did not have any meals at the hotel. Overall a good stay.

Absolutely wonderful stay in Auckland! We had the best time on our trip and the hotel staff was just lovely and so accommodating. Hotel is in a perfect location and very central to great restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed the happy hour at the hotel restaurant and the view of the harbor from our room was fantastic. Rooms are gorgeous. We also did the Hobbiton tour and were picked up right in front of the hotel. Super convenient. Highly recommend a stay in beautiful New Zealand and this hotel.

The Intercontinental Hotel Auckland is great. It is clean, well-maintained, with friendly helpful staff, and many amenities. I’ve stayed here in the past and most recently with my two sons. Dining onsite options are excellent, as well as offering countless local dining options within walking distance as it’s located in downtown Auckland at the harbor. I definitely recommend.

A modern tidy hotel which is in down-town Auckland City. The club experience is expensive but is of a very high standard. The furniture and food in the club are of restaurant standard.

My stay at Intercontinental Auckland was fantastic. Beautiful place, clean, centric with a ton of shopping options. The building has its own entrance to the Mall! No need to step outside if you don't fell like it. I would definitely stay here again. :)

Gorgeous room

Truly the best hotel in Auckland. Astehtically pleaseing in every aspect, classy rooms that feel homely, amazing views, great food and even better service. A true 5 star hotel in every aspect. For the absolute best stay book a harbour view with club lounge access and you will feel truly feel special as the club lounge is right up there with the best anywhere in the world!
