I would like to take my time to write a review for this hotel. Absolutely horrifying. First of all, I arrived from airport to the address advertised on the website. Then when I arrived, this man who I believed to be the owner communicated through the intercom to confirm my bookings. Please see my photo of the ‘reception’. Absolutely dodgy. Then another man showed up, asking me to follow him . I was already thinking to book another hotel, but I followed him anyway to another ‘hotel’ which was down the road from the advertised address. Anyway, when I arrived to my assigned room, it was on a side street. Bikes were parking outside. The ‘room’ was separated with side boards and the ‘room’ next to it is able to peek through my room. No lock on the door. Random men knocking on my assigned room ( I am a female). It was a shared bathroom and toilet. I saw the quality of my stay and immediately book another hotel. This is completely false advertising. The rating on hotel.com does not reflect the true condition of this ‘hotel / hostel’. Whoever read my reviews, should reconsider their stay in this hotel, especially young girls travelling alone. Overall, I did not feel safe staying there. And I booked for 4 nights. I immediately fled after witnessing such condition and did not stay for more than 5 minutes.

Everything great with such low price but the Vietnamese young receptionist rude and ignorance. Disrespect some guests who he dislike just because the manager assign me at the same tre room with him. He slapped the door roughly and turn on his cell phone video very out loud to bother his roommate— me.

Clean room, friendly staff.

It was such a nice place to stay in. Although a little west of the old quarter, the location was overall good as it was still close to other tourist attractions and it was nestled in a nice spot where you couldn't hear motorbikes from the room. I really liked the feel of the room. It was clean and easy to keep cool and the beds was very comfortable. The owner was also very helpful and unobtrusive.

Very nice property with relaxing guest rooms and clean and accommodating, communal area areas such as the kitchen, living room and toilet. The owner takes great pride and his property and upkeep is very good with beautiful architecture. There’s a cute French bakery just around the corner with a barbershop and nail store to match neighboring the bakery. The hostel also offers very affordable rentals for both motorbikes and regular bikes. This whole day is everything you could be looking for to have a nice peaceful night in Tao.

Bad place.

3 floors, no lift. Not suitable for women or couples. Bathroom is shared so not a private washroom. Noisy building.

Very friendly owner, everything worked easy and flawless. Was really happy with my room :)

It was horrible. At the time of booking it shows a room but actually it was a bed in a dorm. Hotels.com should mention specifically bed in a dorm or a room so that we can book according to our need and can avoid the awkward situation after reaching the hotel.

A lovely stay here, very homely, nice family and good location.
