ASAI 京都四条 (Asai Kyoto Shijo Hotel)

The hotel is nice and the installations are pretty modern, but the rooms are extremely small. It was the smallest room we stayed while in our Japan trip and with three big pieces of luggage walking in the room was nearly impossible. Besides that, the room cleaning isn’t great. They do an “eco cleaning” everyday where they only change the towels and that’s almost it. I felt that the same dirty spots in the sink and toilet remained there for days. I had to tell the staff to please do a better clean and only then I found the room clean. Lastly, the breakfast is not great, the dishes were unseasoned and you can only choose between some few options. And also, the location of the hotel is not great. You will have to travel about 45 mins to an hour to every main spot in the city.

Properly is close to restaurant and shopping malls.

This hotel is in a great location and was a very nice stay! The rooms had everything we needed and were very clean and modern. The location is within short distance of a few subway stops.

This hotel is genuinely just a place to rest. They have a nice restaurant in the lobby but the rooms were miniature. I consider this on the level of a fancy hostel.

Room was too small. Breakfast wasn’t so great.

Great property, staff are very friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant is delicious! Rooms are small but designed well enough to store luggage easily and have plenty of space.

Very clean room and friendly staff. Great location and within walking distance to great restaurants and bars and shopping.

Queen room great food, wonderful location and a wonderful city. You do need to realize that in Japan the rooms are small, but this is well organized and more than adequate.

Great place, great staffs, great Thai food for sure!!!
