This rustic yet modern building is in walking distance of historic Edinburgh. The room and amenities were excellent, service great, the sister restaurant had excellent food and drinks. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful and really peaceful as its on the Edinburgh university campus. staff just could not have been more helpful. We were unable to use the dining room for breakfast as we had our dog with us, so they set us up our own dining area in a reception room where we had breakfast served to us separately. Now trying to find an excuse to return

Room was very small

Breakfast was fresh and delicious though the buffet was rather limited. The hotel is a beautiful old building and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 37, which along with room 36 is 4 flights up with no lift so not suitable for everyone. The staff did help us with our luggage. Additionally the ceilings in our room are such that the bathroom mirror was exceedingly low. You’ll have to bend over to see yourself and do the tasks for which you need a mirror. Finally the location is about 25-30 walk to the Royal Mile/castle area with several good restaurants about a 10 minute walk away. All in all a nice hotel but for the aforementioned reasons 4 stars is as far as I’ll go.

This hotel is so wonderful, from the moment you pull up until the moment you check out. The staff is incredible, and the facility is immaculate and beautiful. It's my new go-to stay when I'm in Edinburgh.

We had an excellent experience at The Scott. The staff were all very friendly and our room was consistently refreshed every time we came back in the evenings. It's not in the center of the city, but the walk isn't bad for all the central spots and many bus routes stop right outside the hotel. Overall extremely satisfied and would recommend.

It was a very clean and cozy room. The breakfast selection was very good. I only missed fresh fruit (salad), yoghurt and/or muesli. The bar selection is very nice.

This a beautiful property that is located within walking distance of anything you might like to see.

Everyone friendly and check in easy. Breakfast excellent. Rooms great with comfortable bed and amenities. Would recommend.

The location is perfect, right near Arthur’s seat and easy access into the main centre (via bus or a 25 min walk). The staff were so kind and helpful with anything that we needed and the breakfast is a must! The hotel was absolutely beautiful, but the staff made the experience 10/10. We will definitely be coming back, we felt welcomed upon arrival and the free parking is a bonus! Absolutely exceptional.
