The room is small, fitting only a double bed, bar fridge, and bathroom. However for the affordable price and central location, it's great for short term stays. It has air con and good sound proof walls. Reception is 24/7, on a separate level, with complimentary tea and coffee.

Great location! Not the nicest rooms but very nice people

Taipei Inn is located in a 7 floor tower, occupying the top two floors. Other businesses occupy other floors, so it's kind of hidden. If you're walking on Xuchang Street, when you get to Popeyes Chicken restaurant you are very close. You enter a passageway off of the sidewalk which goes to the elevator. The reception is on the 6th floor. If you are coming from Taipei Main Station, use the M8 exit. That will get you very close to Xuchang St. and it's maybe a one to two block walk from that point. I had a room versus a dorm. The facility is typical economy hostel, a small room but adequate for a simple stay. There are tons of shopping/eating opportunities since Xuchang is a busy street. Remarkably, the room itself was very quiet. Would stay there again. The street, while busy seemed safe.

The place is very convenient for public transportation, as well as shopping and eating.

Great option when come to cost/benefit. I’m coming back again this year and already reserved my stay here.
