少しがっかり at the bildeberg i was told that check in was at 3 pm. At the reception they informed me that check in was at 4. I told them that i wanted to have my room at 3 and they charged me an additional early access fee. In addition they charged me city tax. Expedia told me all was included in what i paid. In addition, i am 75 years old to access my room I had to drag my heavy luggage up several stairs to get to the room.

The staff was great and very accommodating and let us check-in early—overall we enjoyed our stay. The place felt alright although there were some hairs on the bed upon arrival. The fridge seemed pretty gross too. Laundry was really expensive and didn’t let us do it ourselves. Free sparkling water in the lobby was a plus.

Very nice no frills hotel in a great part of Amsterdam. It’s pretty close to the tram, easy walks to many places, and a lot cheaper than staying in closer to the Centrum. Definitely recommend!
