Home to wild deer, red squirrels and a badger set. This traditional stately home built by the Earl of Lonsdale reflects the style and seclusion of the era, and has magnificent views and a unique and elegant interior. The staff make every effort to make Forest Side somewhere to relax and de-stress. Our guests can enjoy walking around our grounds. Holding a much envied position on the lower slopes of Butter Crag, a short stroll down the sweeping private driveway from the hotel itself, lies Grasmere Village, Wordsworths inspiration, from the creative romantic, to the serious fell walker, there is a side of Grasmere that everyone can fall in love with.
