I’m usually exceptionally happy with most of my stays, however this time left a lot to be desired. From start to end it was not great. I know you get what you pay for and I’m not disputing it was extremely cheap to stay here. But there are some things you kind of expect, like clean showering facilities and toilets, basic hospitality and welcoming staff. This place however is probably a biohazard with the state of the bathrooms and showers.
It seems as though school groups stay here as there was a large group of students here when we arrived and they were constantly running up and down the halls, knocking on doors and screaming in the halls, taking up the entire common area at night and the morning. The staff did very little to alleviate the constant yelling and screaming from this school group.
The staff member who welcomed us looked starlight at us and put his hand out and said “passport” no hello, no welcome, just passport and I know I sound like I’m picking on little things here but after a long frustrating delayed journey, a little bit of hospitality wouldn’t go astray.
I urge the hostel to really look at how they could improve and create a better experience for their guests and the space is fine and the location is good but it’s not a place to feel comfortable or clean.
