My first trip to Fort Lauderdale began at a Cambria hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and I met some interesting people at the bar. The pool furniture, however, was old, dirty, and in desperate need of replacement. While the actual pool area was pleasant, the furniture’s condition was quite unappealing. The rooftop offered stunning views of the city, which was a highlight of my stay.
The room I had was decent in size and had a balcony, which I would definitely recommend. However, the water pressure in the shower was extremely weak, which was quite disappointing. To add to the unpleasantness, I found an insect on top of the fridge and later discovered it dead inside. It was quite gross and I couldn’t help but wonder how it had gotten there.
Overall, the hotel was decent, with friendly staff. However, it definitely needed some upgrades to improve the overall experience.
