We paid a decent amount to be put in a room that looked like a basement. There is only one small tinted window that we tried to open to get some air, which immediately opened into the hotel restaurant where a table is set up and they serve people less than a meter from you, and I had to see a man look into my room. The room was the only one at the lobby level and you could hear staff talking at all hours of the night and we were woken up at 6 am by this. It was also right the next lobby bathrooms and the smell carried over. The pillows felt like they had plastic inside, the mattress made noise every time you moved, there was no lamps or anything, just the overhead light, the shower door was broken and it looked nothing like the pictures . The staff was kind and held onto our baggage for us before and after checking in and out which was the only benefit to this hotel, but when we mentioned the poor conditions of the room no solutions were offered. I would never stay again and do NOT recommend it if you need a good night’s rest.

Front desk attention wasn’t very good

I had a terrible experience in room 101. It’s located on the street side, and the entrance is loud and noisy. The bathroom is shared with the shower, which is a major inconvenience. The breakfast was also mediocre. I requested to be moved to a different room, and they accommodated my request on the second day.

Great location

Great location and very private. Perfect for couples. Lots of things to do around. Lots of plants at the hotel which makes it look beautiful. Staff was really nice too.

There was no air conditioning, the fan was noisy and doesn’t provide adequate air flow to even feel a little breeze. The water flow in the shower goes from strong to weak and hot to cold the whole time you’re showering without you making any adjustments. The hotel lobby is aesthetically pleasing but acts as an echo so you hear everything happening in the lobby and hallways. They also don’t have quiet time hours, there were guests in the lobby talking and being loud past 2AM. We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights and never got a restful sleep due to a combination of the noise, the hot room and lack of airflow from the fan, and the bed being uncomfortable. The floor is also extremely disgusting as you can tell they don’t mop or even sweep the floor.

The hotel is cozy and the location was excellent, you are within walking distance of many major staples of the city and plenty of good restaurants, bakeries, and cafes. Also, close to Fuente Cibeles where you’ll be able to take the city tour bus, a 20 minute walk to Chapultepec park with various museums near the park, a 10 minutes walk to zona Rosa, parque México and shopping mall. The staff is absolutely fantastic, everyone was welcoming and extremely courteous. The hotel was clean and the restaurant food is truly authentic and delicious! No need to go out to find breakfast when you’re staying here. I simply can’t say enough good things about this place, but specially their staff.

The air conditioning made a lot noise

I was looking forward to staying here because of the location and good reviews, but unfortunately, the experience wasn't great and I will not be staying here again. While the staff was mostly kind, big shoutout to Juan who was absolutely lovely and hospitable, our room's A/C was broken. We let the front desk know and they said they would have maintenance check it out and give us a new room if it couldn't be fixed. When we returned later that day, we had to ask again and then they sent someone to check it out and said it's broken and they could give us a portable A/C. We asked about a new room but were told there were no available rooms with A/C. Unfortunately, the portable A/C wasn't much help and the room was uncomfortably warm for our entire stay. We've come to CDMX before and our previous accommodations were much better. Perhaps this hotel is more suitable for younger and more budget-conscious travelers.
