We have some feedback for the hotel!
English services were lacking in a premier hotel like this. We expected and had received better language services in other hotels around Shanghai that were in less touristy areas.
Communicating with the front desk for simple requests (water, pens, towels, bringing up delivery to our room) often required multiple phone calls, each time with different people who seemed to not pass along the message especially when transitioning between day and night shift employees.
No clothes steamer available. Only iron. This is unacceptable for a hotel that will service weddings and wedding parties. It’s OK to not have a steamer for every room, but the hotel needs to keep a stock of them in case guests request one.
The hotel is in a magnificent location, but feel lack of maintenance. What a pity! Such a waste of being in the beautiful bund area!
