Very old hotel. No manager available. Self check-in. Shower did not work well. Had to request more more toilet paper, Kleenex, only given 1 glass. No a/c.Did not enjoy our stay!

Staff was nice and helpful during the heatwave. The shower would back up and flood the bathroom floor even when we were extremely conservative with the shower water. I had sent a notification to management and never heard a word from anyone.
I was under the impression that the hotel had a restaurant, wrong!

Al di sotto della media Do not stay here in the summer. Rooms have no air conditioning. I checked in and the room was stuck at 30 degrees Celsius/86 Fahrenheit.

AC works well in the room. Self Check-in is actually in the cafe next door, which was not well communicated at first. Very close to the Zurich train stop and a bus stop.

No staff really. No amenities really.
Spacious room. Comfy bed. Quiet. The shower for water all over the bathroom floor. Needs updating.

The kitchenette was a great cost saver, with Coop store right across the street. The staff in the hotel and little cafe were all very nice and helpful. The location of Hotel Josef is very convenient, very close to Train station, trams, and busses. We totally enjoyed our stay!!
