Excellent location... Yes ... major earthworks are going on in Nelson CBD...and I totally feel for ALL the businesses impacted by these earthworks. I'd hate to be a business owner in Nelson currently. Been visiting The Tides since 2011.. and have introduced many visitors from Australia Europe and USA during that time. Last visit I ordered ham and cheese toastie ... it was frosshave been very disappointed with the room service menu.

Great place to stay and location

Very nice restaurant. Kettle had black chunks floating out of it and there was old blood smears on two pillowcases which then made me wonder about the cleanliness. Staff weren’t bothered.

My stay at Tides was comfortable, the staff was helpful and quick to communicate and the room was impeccably clean. The only issue was the garbage bins and toilet bins were not lined with bin bags- though I did make a last minute booking. Excellent location. Overall experience was 9.5/10 Highly recommend.

Very handy location to town. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Having said that restaurant meals were very good at Tides. If staying in winter make sure you turn the heated floor on in the bathroom 😄

Nice accommodations within a short walk to the CDB. Room was clean and the staff was friendly. Would stay here again.
