Check-in was quite far from the hotel, as they are located in different buildings and on different streets. We had just returned from overseas with several heavy suitcases, but no one informed us that we would need to carry all of our luggage up to the third floor ourselves. I was travelling alone with my young child, which made the situation even more difficult.
The bed only had two dark brown blankets without any covers, so I was unsure how often they were washed. I initially thought the lower room rate of $150 was due to the shared bathroom, but there were additional issues beyond that. There was also no hot water during our stay.
Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not meet our expectations.

Excellent location close to Central station, heaps of eateries around the area. Nice and clean room and restroom.

Too noisy be far. The beds shook constantly at any slight movement so it was like trying to sleep in a loud earthquake. Made sleep almost impossible.
The location is good as it’s around Chinatown and the central business district in Sydney, however for a backpacker looking for mates this isn’t worth a stopover at all. Better places around the rocks area in sydney

No mention of the lack of lifts in the property, nor of the shared bathroom. I am a single parent travelling Australia with two kids and we arrived with 3 large cases and 3 small only to be told there was no lift and we were on the 3rd floor. The room was basic but clean, but there was no bathroom and my kids didn't feel safe going to the toilet in the night. Very loud music from the pub below all night and the windows were so poor that we could hear street traffic and the crossing beeping outside. Then the fire alarm went off at 2am so we had to evacuate. No staff presence to explain what was going on or to let us know it was safe to go back into the building. The next morning I had to carry 6 cases down all the stairs which was not fun! Not the best experience sadly and I felt misled by the Hotels.com listing which did not specify that there was no lift and a shared bathroom.

Convenient location close to Central Station, China Town, World Square, light rail. Loads of things within easy walking distance.
Easy check in, friendly staff and very affordable.
Basic facilities but for the price it's great
