We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn Munich East. It is close to the train station, so there is easy transportation via trams, trains, subway or buses. Even with the sidewalk under construction in the area, we had no problem rolling our suitcases.
The breakfast is extensive, fresh, well-maintained with friendly, attentive staff. The options did not change from day to day, but there were enough choices to give variety. The daily honeycomb was an unexpected treat! It was also nice to have 24/7 acre access to filtered water to fill our bottles and unlimited tea, coffee and delicious hot cocoa.
We took advantage of the large communal areas in the lobby and ate there after grabbing a pizza at L’angolo Della Pizza just down the block. (Authentic Italian pizza)
The rooms are very spacious and include a full kitchen. It was so nice to have a comfortable sitting area to read or wind down in the evening. There is also a small but adequate fitness room that we used multiple times.
The staff were wonderful. All spoke multiple languages and were so helpful and kind with whatever we needed.
I would highly recommend this hotel for short or even extended stays.
