I recently stayed at Home2 Suites, and while the staff were consistently polite, friendly, and willing to help, the overall experience did not meet the expectations set by the hotel.
A few days before my arrival, I contacted the hotel to request an induction cooktop. I was assured that one would be available for me at check-in, but unfortunately, it was never provided during my stay.
Despite making multiple requests, my room was not cleaned, the bed linens were not changed, and the bathroom amenities were not replenished. These are basic housekeeping services that guests should reasonably expect.
I also paid an additional charge for a City View room, but the room overlooked the back of neighboring buildings rather than offering an actual city view. The room description was misleading and did not match what was provided.
At check-in, complimentary bottled water was not offered. In addition, the furniture appeared dated and had noticeable stains. When I picked up one of the glasses in the room to fill with my own bottled water, it still contained soap residue, which raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the room.
Another concern was the area immediately surrounding the hotel. There were frequently individuals loitering near the entrance. While I understand this is outside the hotel’s control, it did not make us feel particularly comfortable while traveling with family.
