My husband and I had an excellent experience at the hotel. The rooms were clean and a good size, with plenty of amenities, and everything was of excellent quality.
What made it even better was the staff, who were outstanding — always willing to go the extra mile to help in the best way possible.

Ottimo Very small rooms. I only stayed 2 nights and I’m glad that’s all it was. It’s a great location, convenient but if you’re not a fan of a small rooms, avoid this at all cost. Also, there isn’t someone at the front desk at all times. If you need something, ask sooner than later. I would recommend this place for a day or two but anything longer I would look elsewhere.

The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Coffee in the lobby is nice.
Our rooms smelled weird and had other people's hair in the bathroom. The carpets felt dirty, so please use the slippers they provide.

Disappointed I chose this place because the beds were rock solid and it meant I didn't sleep well for four nights, which kind of ruined my impression of Kyoto. What I don't like is the fact that guests are incentivised to give good reviews with Starbucks vouchers. This skews the ratings and is misleading and I'm sure this is the reason this hotel is rated so highly. Staff aren't that friendly. Cleaning only happens once every five days and the rooms are awkwardly designed making it hard to relax.

Small hotel with not too many rooms, but the size of the room are quite large. Front desk staffs are friendly.

Kyoto was beautiful and our stay was also amazing. Very easy access to markets, restaurants and shops. Nice and quiet location too if you are travelling with family
