It was off season and there was some annual maintenance going on - it has to happen sometime - but the hotel manager and staff had made every effort to minimize this and to more than compensate. If you wanted a fully equipped gym you might have been disappointed but if you wanted to stay in a simply beautiful property - and we were delighted in all
respects from room, food, amenities, activities, and location this place is it. But what makes this property special is quite the most genuinely charming and hardworking and professional staff I have encountered in my 45 years of international travel this is the place. From room and catering to garden and security the staff are very well trained, clearly Taj brand appreciative based on conversations I had with them, motivated and make this property as nice as it is. We stayed at 2 other 5 star properties on this trip and this was our clear favourite and made it an exceptional memory.
