This place was fine for one night, but I wouldn't stay longer than that. There's little security- it's all performative. Example 1: If you want to leave your bags before checkin or after checkout, they're left in the lobby with no monitoring. There is someone at the reception desk, but not actually watching the bags and there's no baggage tag / check process so anyone can come into the lobby and take any bag. Example 2: The hotel policy when you leave your room is to leave the keys at the reception desk (they have a large weight on them). However, when you come back to grab the keys they dont check ID or verify name or anything so anyone can ask for any room number and is handed the keys, no questions asked. After observing this, I ignored policy and kept the keys with me. The room smelled fine when we arrived, but after coming back a few hours later it reeked of weed and gave me a headache. I had requested a non-smoking room, but don't think it was. With the large crack under the door and thin walls, I don't know if it would have made a difference. You can smell and hear everything from the halls and other rooms. Also, there was only one accessible outlet for the whole room and it was near the entrance so charging phones, etc was annoying.

Staff were wonderful. Room was quiet and had adequate space, and was 5 minutes from train. Beautiful river walk to main tourist site.

Close to train station, easy walk to city center. Room was large meeting basic needs. staff was very friendly and helpful. price was o k.

Beautiful old building and helpful staff. Thankfully it was too cold for people to be hanging around outside being it is opposite an adult sex shop! Lots of laughs were had and I appreciate the cleaning staff who work hard to keep this property well maintained. Lots of choice for breakfast. Could do with a few teapots to save guests queuing up for hot water at breakfast time. Easy to find and very good location for anyone wanting a reasonable priced stay, plus on site car parking for guests is a bonus. I would recommend the hotel but make sure you are fit and able to climb stairs as the lift doesn’t make it to the top floor where we were located. Amazing views across the city and stunning sunsets to observe at dusk. Much more for our money than you would get in the UK so the positives greatly outweigh the negatives! We came, we saw the Sound of Music sights, we ate and drank and then we got home in time for work again….

Had a great stay at the Adlerhof Hotel. Room was clean, staff was lovely. Many options for breakfast. Thank you everyone! Btw, the hotel is very close to the main train station and within 1 bus ride from the airport, so well connected by plane as well as by train.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Adlerhof. It's very close to the Main Train Station which was a big plus if you're walking. Proximity to the sights of Salzburg was also excellent, about a 15 minute very pleasant walk to Mirabel Gardens and even closer to the river for a stroll. Very residential feeling neighborhood with a grocery store and a few casual cafes nearby. Breakfast was very pleasant with the standard self-service offerings you'd expect. Our room felt like a dorm which was fine for us- the quad had a small kitchenette and a separate room for our teenager. Highly recommend.

Staff was nice, room was spacious but the sink was leaking

The staff were fantastic. The room was great. The walk from the train station is very doable. The area around the hotel was okay but the people around the area were kind of sketchy. So thankfully for the 24 hour manned front door

There wasn’t much parking
