This is the best possible place you can stay in when you are in the Kawaguchiko area. At $50 a night, the full on view you get of Mt Fuji is priceless. Beautiful private room (if you opt for that) which is clean and cosy. The only con is that it’s a shared bathroom but it was equipped with real good soap and conditioner and clean as well. Highly recommended.

Fabulous staff! So helpful! One woman helped me buy a bus ticket online when I couldn’t find the right information. She gave me ideas for food in Osaka.
The place was spotless and nice but freezing cold! Be prepared to cover up if you’re there in winter. I was told it’s a traditional bldg and the heating systems are per room.

The interior design of the hostel was really nice. It’s walkable distance from Kawaguchiko lake. Takes about 20mins or so. Close to Kawaguchiko station too.

Excellent hostel, easy walking distance from Kawaguchiko station. Friendly staff who assisted with booking the sake brewery tour and renting bikes. Room was big and spacious, bathrooms were clean.

Al di sotto della media The staff here are more concerned about the hostel’s image rather than the guests paying to stay there. I tried to have my dinner in the common area/dinning area and was told it’s only restaurant guests. This information isn’t provided on the booking site nor at check in. I wouldn’t have stayed here knowing I would be kicked out of the common area for eating. They prefer to support their restaurant guests instead. This doesn’t create a positive hostel environment. It’s not social because guests are secluded to their rooms instead of the common area.
The large mixed dormitory has no lock on the door so anyone can walk in.

Ottimo I stay one night in this hostel. Staffs are friendly. The location was fine with 10min walk from station and you will find few convenience shops around the hostel. There's bike rental and I have rent a bike to walk around Kawaguchiko and Saiko, which is great experience!! The only problem is there's very cold in shower room especially when you take a shower during cold period.
