Shame less menus for breakfast.

Great stopping place for us after long drive from Yorkshire, just off the motorway but feels a million miles away overlooking surrounding fields and golf course. Parking plentiful, good bar & restaurant with quality food, nice atmosphere and service and good breakfast the following morning with various plant milks on offer, hot & cold selection. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

A terrible hotel to stay at, would not recommend to anyone. My parents and I stayed here last winter and to say it is disgusting and rundown is an understatement. We were put in a room with a broken window that had black tape all around it (still managed to be broken), up above the dumpsters and car park so it was gross and noisy, the shower/bathroom had black mold EVERYWHERE, and the manager and cleaning staff did not care. We complained that night and the front desk staff apologized (he was very kind) and said they were fully booked for some conference and couldn't move rooms, and went to the back room to speak to the manager a few times and then finally said we would get a reduction on the price when we checked out. 30 minutes later he came to our door additionally offering free breakfast the next morning, so we accepted bc why not. The breakfast isn't work a pound, it was very bad. Then on checkout we speak to the manager - same manager that was working the night before and couldn't be bothered to come outside of her office and speak to us right then and there. Says there was a miscommunication and the breakfast was our compensation, and we wouldn't get a reduction because we paid through Expedia. Last I checked you got the money .... so you have the money to provide a refund .... Expedia doesn't hold onto the money indefinitely. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour from a manager, would have been solved if she'd bothered to do her job the night before. 0/10, would not stay.

We booked this hotel due to the dog friendly room and the spa. However the furnishings in the room were dirty and stained (large stains on curtains and pillows) the shower was surrounded by mould and the doorway was bumped and chipped. The spa was dirty throughout both in the changing rooms and the swimming pool area, mosaic tiles were missing and dirty water with hairs in was pooling on even surfaces. After our first visit we did not return. Breakfast was average with little fruit, yoghurt or pasties available by 9am. We had to use disposable cups as glasses were missing for the fruit juices, and food ordered from the menu (pancakes) was poor. We made our thoughts clear to staff at the time who although sounded convincing in listening and apologising to us did nothing to change the situation as they were "front of house" and not "housekeeping", "leisure" or "spa" staff. A very disappointing stay in a very tired hotel.

Great location for visiting the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel. Clean, comfortable hotel. Spacious room and excellent breakfast. The staff were very friendly particularly Murray and Millie ( waiters) who were very attentive when dined in the restaurant.

Been there many times but this time the place seems to be a bit run down.

Everything looked spotless and well maintained! Amazing view and friendly staff!

We booked a family room, it was overall OK, bathroom was shabby. We had lunch which was not good,tasteless. The plates were full when the waiter picked up the plates. I would have thought he would have commented on this. Dinner was Salmon n potatoes,and Ravioli. Salmon was dry. Ravioli was nice. Would I stay again,sadly no, A 4 star hotel should have excellent food x we stay in lots of hotels up and down UK and lower rated hotels have much better food ...

Great hotel, menu could be better. Carpets need updating.

Very comfortable hotel in a quiet yet handy location for visiting Glasgow and Edinburgh.
