The whole experience from checking in was fabulous, the rooms were clean and ready ahead of time, the staff were very friendly and polite and always at hand to help with any questions we had. The Spa was superb with all the different types of treatments available. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Mauritius to stay here, I would definitely like to go back for another holiday at this venue

Our stay at Lux Grande Gaube was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, kindness, and a level of hospitality that truly exceeded all expectations. The food throughout the resort was fantastic, with a special mention to Bodrum restaurant, which was an absolute highlight of our stay. Every meal was beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and made for a wonderful dining experience. What really made our holiday unforgettable, however, were the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Reedoo on the beach, who went above and beyond every single day to make sure everyone was comfortable. He was incredibly attentive, always responsive, and seemed to anticipate what guests needed before they even had to ask. His friendliness and genuine care made such a difference to our experience. Elena from front of house was equally wonderful — so kind, welcoming, and accommodating. She always greeted us with a smile and made us feel truly valued as guests. A special mention also goes to Maeva from the entertainment team, who took us on a fantastic bike tour around the island. Her knowledge of Mauritius was incredible, and she made us feel safe and looked after at all times, regularly checking that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. She was great fun to spend time with and so patient throughout the experience. And last but certainly not least, Kamal from housekeeping deserves the biggest praise. We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel and were impressed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is absolutely stunning as soon as you walk through the entrance, with a spacious open-plan layout that creates a welcoming atmosphere and provides plenty of room for families to relax and enjoy their stay. One of the standout features of the hotel is the exceptional staff. Every member of the team was warm, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile, which made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The resort itself is set within large, beautifully maintained grounds, offering plenty of space to explore and unwind. There is an excellent variety of food and dining options available, each with its own unique charm. The spa facilities are beautiful and provide the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. We were also very impressed by the boathouse team, who were incredibly helpful and accommodating. As a beginner solo snorkeller, I asked whether one of the crew members could accompany me, and without hesitation this was arranged. Their support and encouragement made for a positive snorkelling experience. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with an impressive selection of options catering to a wide range of tastes. The area for improvement would be the check-in and check-out process, which could be made a little smoother and quicker. I would happily recommend this hotel and would like to return in future.

We had been waiting 45 minutes before our room was ready and we had arrived at check in time Resort is a bit far from main shops and food places etc so can feel a bit isolated. Cinema was unavailable for most of our stay so we were unable to utilise this, which felt a bit like we had wasted our money if we couldn’t take advantage of the amenities and whatever the resort had to offer. Not that many activities for adults to do, rather more to do for children.

Beautiful location. Cafe Lux a treat! But the service was inconsistent and mediocre, the food below the standard expected and some aspects of the room not functional.

Excellent location, great food option, relaxing beach
