I genuinely enjoy writing positive reviews, which is why I hesitated before writing this one. However, I feel it’s only fair to share my experience so future guests know what to expect. We arrived at almost 8 PM after a long trip. We were a group of four, including my 80-year-old mother. At that hour, I expected the check-in process to be simple and immediate. Instead, we had to go up to the third floor and look around for someone who could check us in. We waited, hoping that someone would come, but no one did. Eventually, I had to contact Expedia customer service for assistance. Only after that did a staff member appear. I also found it very confusing that the check-in area was apparently on the fourth floor. Why not provide this information to guests in advance? After traveling for hours, the last thing anyone needs is to walk around a hotel trying to figure out where to go and find someone to assist them. I won’t go into all the details of my communication with the hotel owner, but I will say that the overall experience fell well below what I consider reasonable hotel standards. I paid for a hotel room, and I believe it is fair to expect a few basic things: prompt check-in, and clear instructions.

Prima verblijf in het Grand Panora hotel in Tbilisi. Start was niet best, daar onze origineel geboekte hotel geen kamer beschikbaar had. Dit was ruim te voren aan Expedia, waar hotels.com onder valt, gemeld. Echter heeft Expedia er niets mee gedaan waardoor we op zoek moesten naar een alternatief. Deze gevonden bij het Grand Panora hotel. Bij aankomst bleek er alleen een standaard 2 persoonskamer beschikbaar te zijn, terwijl we een deluxe kamer geboekt hadden. Wederom een fout van Expedia daar de rooms op de site niet up to date zijn. Ook had hotel nog geen goedkeuring gestuurd. Geld was door hotels.von wel al afgeschreven. Met hulp van de eigenaren hebben we een extra bed met pijn en moeite in de kamer gekregen, zodat we niet weer hoefden de verhuizen. Hotel heeft een mooi terras met uitzicht over oude stad en daar kan je ook dineren en ontbijten.
