We had a wonderful time staying at the Lao Orchid Hotel. We spent five nights there, and it felt like staying with family. The décor is very traditional Lao style, which added to the charm. There’s no pool, which was perfectly fine for us. Our room was sparkling clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming.
Breakfast was fresh and delicious—especially the coffee. There was always a smiling face to greet us as we came and went. The hotel is conveniently located, with many restaurants nearby. Starbucks is within walking distance, as well as the Mini Big C convenience store. It’s also close to the night market.

We stayed at Amari for four nights before checking into the Lao Orchid Hotel. We did not enjoy staying at Amari. We came across the hotel on our way to breakfast and lunch. We absolutely love this hotel—it feels like staying with family. The staff is so kind, and housekeeping is amazing. Breakfast is always fresh and delicious, and there’s always a smiling face as you come and go. The place is filled with real hardwood. It’s close to many restaurants, bars, and the night market. Cafe Amazon is just down the street, and Starbucks is within walking distance. It’s safe, clean, comfortable, and convenient. We highly recommend this hotel if you’re in the area.

The location is superb with restaurants surrounding the hotel and the night markets 100 metres away. The room was great being the largest room we have stayed in on this trip. All of the staff that we dealt with were lovely all in all an excellent hotel.

We were repeat visitors. Very central location, 3 mins from night market. 4th floor views were great across a mjor temple and down the Mekong. Great/ comfy room. Well serviced by efficient and helpful staff. Whole hotel from breakfast terrace, to reception area and hallways were spotless.

I stayed 4 nights at 3 different times during my 2 week long Laos trip. This hotel is very conveniently located, everything walkable. Breakfast was good with Veg/Vegan options. Rooms comfortable, reasonably sized, clean and higienice. In-Room tea/coffee maker and other amenities.
I recommend this hotel.

Fantastico Spacious room, excellent breakfast. We loved our stay at Lao Orchid. By far the nicest of the hotels we have stayed at on this trip in Bangkok, Aytthaya, Vientiane and Luang Prabang. Rooms were clean, staff spoke English at least moderately. The Night Market is just across the street and there are a lot of great restaurants in easy walking distance (525 I'm looking at you). Overall a wonderful stay. You can tell we are very pleased :-)
