The hotel is Splendid and truly a luxury hotel. We had in room dining twice and one dinner at the Japanese restaurant. One of four restaurants. All meals were very good as was breakfast. Many choices, high quality. The staff did the utmost for us. We deposited cash at check-in and it was returned at checkout. Location close to museums and all government buildings. Very spacious and meticulous room. Very very clean. Very very friendly staff

Rooms were some of the best we have stayed in while in Laos. Superb value would be a $500 a night hotel minimum back in Canada.

Stayed here for New Year’s and had an incredible time. The NYE party was unreal — easily the best buffet I’ve ever seen. The music and staff brought nonstop energy, and even though I don’t drink champagne, I somehow ended up buying two bottles of Dom 😅 Floor-to-ceiling windows and amazing views topped it all off. Absolutely unforgettable.

We stayed at Vientienne overnight to transfer from Laos to Vietnam and choose to stay here. The hotel is brand new and the attention to the details of the staff, their helpfullness and kindness was distinguishing. Spa, pool and rooftop bar was a bonus with a nice view of the monument. They also have a more resort style hotel called Souphattra Heritage, this one looked more like for business travelers which we loved to enjoy the quietness over the weekend.
