Very good hotel, esspecially for Pleasure beach. Very good for the price. We had a lovely stay.

Staff helpful. Room was tidy. Free parking.

Bed bugs. First time in life to experience this. I asked to be moved on second morning. The staff were helpful and moved me and bed bug removal was seen later. On checking reviews, July last year bed bugs were experienced by another customer. On the last night someone was checked in at 9 30pm across from me and within 45mins was having a domestic dispute where somebody else on the floor complained. They dealt with it within 10mins. I think they are trying to improve the hotel/ hostel but it is going to take time. The staff response to the issue shows this. I'm not going there again though. This is an honest experience reported.

Too much paint, smelly in the room and not good bathroom door, not lock properly. It’s too much cheap Hotel book in my life.

Very dirty premises. Carpets threadbare. Bathroom door had to be forced to open it. Black mould inside shower. Rubbish on floor inside lift. Felt like we didn't want to touch anything. Photos do not accurately reflect the condition of the premises. Would not recommend staying at this hotel. We decided to leave after 10 minutes inside the building, never had to do that before and we have stayed in lots of places.

Cheap and I suppose you get what you pay for, but the room wasn’t fully cleaned and dirty bedding left on the floor when we arrived, along with clean bedding which we had to put on the beds ourselves. Also a proper maze to find the room. Not enough sockets in the room. The shower rail fell off and I had to put it back on. The breakfasts and staff were great though

On arrival we was greated by a very friendly gentleman, who explained where our room was and said we have a sea view, bare in mind i booked a family room for 5! We was given a family room for 4 so we had to share a bed. Now the "family" room was on the third floor. Lift to the 2nd floor then stairs the rest of the way, thankfully we didnt have a baby with us as god help them stairs with a pram. Now the room looked okay ish, bathroom with shower and toilet, mis matched curtains and rusty curtain poles, the beds.. well if you like to scratch all night from bed bugs your in the right place, hard uncomfy mattress and one very thin pillow. As you can imagine zero sleep.. then down for breakfast in the morning at half 8, not a cooked breakfast as we assumed, but a continental breakfast in the same room as a huge pile of laundry and a shopping trolly. Lovely, lets not forget the argument between a member off staff and another paying customer over the hotel not having any hot dogs, then a comment to myself about the customer from the member of staff that was arguing,i wont repeat but lets just say it wasnt the most pleasant and quite a racist remark. Will NOT be coming back, do NOT recommend

We’ve just finished a 3-night stay at the Henson Hotel and had the best time making memories. As a mum with two kids (8 and 13), I found it the ideal 'base camp'. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—5 minutes from the station and trams, with a £10 family ticket getting us to the Tower and Piers in under 10 minutes. The hotel itself is great value. Rooms are basic but functional, and the bar is excellently priced for both soft and alcoholic drinks. We were pleasantly surprised by the space and entertainment like the pool table and board games. However, the highlight was the staff. They are incredibly helpful and funny; they created such a warm atmosphere that all the guests were laughing together at breakfast. My kids noted that you’d never get this level of personal service at a big chain. We can’t wait to stay again!

Great hotel, great price and a good laugh with staff so friendly

Never had breakfast but great location. Will return again.
