Everything was nice, clean, and maintained. We preferred the location. Everything is a bit dark, but that's the vibe they were going for. Two concerns. One of the bartenders twice tried to give me only "soda water" for a vodka soda - and it's on their drinks meny. We were there for 7 nights and on 4 nights we were woken up by loud partiers on the streets, between 3.30am - 6.30am. Given the location it's kind of expected, but even on floor 14 you can hear them.

After a long flight from LAX. The bed was comfortable in the room had blackout shades. And a busy city like Osaka was also very quiet in the room. I would stay here again.

The hotel staff and location was good. The restaurant was surprisingly inexpensive and good. The main challenge for us was the lighting. The hallways and rooms are painted a very dark purple/black. The hallway lights were like nightlights. This was the same in our rooms. So dark. Kids used phone lights just to unpack. Had to do a Zoom call but had almost no light to illuminate face. If you like that sort of modern artsy mood than it’s a great fit. Unfortunately for us it was quite cavelike.

I would never recommend this hotel. Going totally against Japanese culture. Very disappointed . Booked a room for a family of 4, only to be hustled to take an extra room because they overbooked and ran out for rooms for 4. No options to cancel the reservation to find another hotel, nor credit to upgrade to a better room when available. Needless to say, I paid double just to accommodate 1 more person. Take your chance, but my advise, look elsewhere. I will never stay at any Mercure hotel.

The Hotel Mercure Osaka was a beautiful more boutique type hotel. Perfect for our stay. It’s a cool design and great views from our room. We didn’t mind that it was a little darker inside as we had good lighting in our room yet we did have a corner room. Love the pool table area as my college sons played both nights. Restaurant was good too. Excellent location and walking distance to all shopping and dining. I would recommend staying here. A Bonus there was a laundry washer/dryer in the room here too!

The hotel has a perfect location. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and very close to the metro station. The room feels spacious, and beds are comfortable. I had the breakfast buffet one day, the coffee was terrible, as well as the bread (it tasted like day old bread). The hotel didn’t offer free coffee bar, soda and snacks like the other hotels we stayed in Japan, I felt disappointed.

Firstly, why is the room was that dark, and light switches were in its awkward place, and making difficult to access. There weren’t enough lightings. Secondly, the shower was awful and there weren’t any places to put your clear dry clothes and towels. Very uncomfortable and awkward.
