🤖About Maker Faire

Maker Faire is arguably the best show, story, and family-friendly program on the planet, celebrating Maker inventions, creativity, and the Maker Movement. Maker Faire was launched in San Francisco in 2006 by the American Make magazine. It has been authorized to be held in more than 140 cities around the world and millions of people have participated in this event. It has set off a series of reforms in education, culture and industry around the world, forming the Maker Movement. (The Maker Movement).

When people have the technology or knowledge to make things, they also have the ability to make the world a better place. Whether they are young or old, they can see themselves as Makers, creators, and practitioners!

🤖The Greatest show of Maker Movement in Taiwan.

Started in 2012, it is the earliest, largest, and most iconic maker carnival in Taiwan; it serves as the largest platform to connect maker-related industries, policy promotion, and campus and community works.

However, the COVID-19 epidemic hit and the event was suspended after 2020. This year, the Jisi Convention and Exhibition Business Group and the Taiwan Maker Association jointly hope to attract Makers from different fields at home and abroad to gather in Taipei through the annual carnival to share their experiences. Their amazing creative works showcase the "innovation" of Taiwanese makers and have become a key large-scale exhibition connecting international visibility.

1. Seniors aged 65 or above must present the original of their identity document. Purchase limit is 1 per certificate.
2. With a valid student ID card from a college or below, purchase is limited to one piece per ID card. (Not applicable to community colleges, air colleges and on-the-job students)

Various Maker teams active in the fields of technology, education, and art collaborate to display various interactive exhibits. In addition to gathering maker groups from all over Taiwan, this year there are also overseas partners from Japan, Hong Kong, etc. participating in the event. It brings together diverse and lively Maker education content to increase the public’s awareness and interest in the Maker field, thereby understanding the design and educational significance behind the works, and sharing it with more friends through this exhibition.

🤖Ministry of Labor Workforce Development Agency Theme Pavilion

The conference theme pavilion of the Workforce Development Administration of the Ministry of Labor will conduct a variety of content such as presentations, displays, workshops or lectures of each branch, hoping to let the participating public better understand the achievements of various branches in promoting maker innovation.

Through the Maker community website, outstanding Makers from all over the country and abroad are invited to come to Taiwan to share their experience and talk. Through the international influence of the exhibition, we hope to let the international community see Taiwan’s soft power. This allows the public to have a deeper understanding of Maker’s core spirit.

🤖Maker Soapbox

Domestic and foreign maker teams are invited to present the most essential and exciting works in this exhibition to visitors in the main stage area. The exciting content includes: technology presentation, creation sharing, exhibition experience, etc., so that Maker’s works can be seen by the public. We also look forward to showing the “independent power” of Taiwanese creators by sharing their amazing creative works.
